LAST MINUTE CHANGE IN FIELDS

Brandon informed me today that we won't be playing on Field #6. The games previously scheduled for Pool B on Field #6 will now be played on Field #2. Brandon said Fields #2 & #5 are right next to each other so we won't have to trek across the complex to switch from one field to the other.

If I understand the park diagram correctly, this means we'll be playing on the diamond at the far right edge of the picture for which only leftfield is visible (#5) and the diamond with its outfield facing it (#2).

HOTEL INFORMATION

Hotel Information for Outlaw Tournament

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites-Fresno Northwest Herndon location.

If you make your reservation by Wednesday August 3, and identify yourself as part of the Outlaw Tournament group, the rate is $85 per night.  The hotel number is 559-277-0004.  The address is 7191 W. Kathryn Ave, Fresno CA 93722.

This is one of the newer hotels in the area.  The hotel is off Highway 99 and approximately 14 miles from the Fresno Regional Sports Complex.

QUESTIONS

I seem to be the only one asking any questions. Not that isolation will stop me....

Which offices are entering teams in the tournament?
What time will the first game begin?
What is the tournament format?
What time do you anticipate the tournament will end (assuming it stays on schedule)?

I couldn't help noticing the rules for this tournament are rather sparse and vague compared to those used for the March tournament in Atwater. I think there are some pretty big gaps that need to be covered starting with player eligibility. Who can play in this tournament?  The rules have been updated.

FRESNO REGIONAL SPORTS COMPLEX

Has anyone played there before? I've been trying to find information about the Fresno Regional Sports Complex but there's not a lot out there. I found a tournament site with some photos I could poach. The City of Fresno's website says they charge $5.00 per vehicle to enter the sports complex which has eight parking lots. Another site says they have a clubhouse, concession stand, batting cage, soft-toss net and shaded spectator seating.

SECOND OUTLAW TOURNAMENT

I received a message from Brandon today about the possibility of a second Outlaw tournament this season. (I assume we can scratch "Annual" from the tournament title if we're having two this year.) Anyway, the date will be Saturday, August 6th at the Fresno Regional Sports Complex. That's all I have for now. I will add the details as I receive them.
