HOTEL RESERVATION TIP

Larry Hill said he visited Priceline.com to make a hotel reservation for the night of March 18th in Merced. He placed a bid of $35.00 and got it. I believe it was with the Ramada Inn which is one of the hotels listed on the tournament flier. After all the taxes, it came to about $45.00 for the night.

FORMAT CHANGE - ROUND ROBIN + TWO ROUND PLAYOFF

We have five teams entered in the tournament. Since we didn't fill all ten slots, the tournament will be a round-robin instead of double elimination. All five teams will play the other four teams once.

After the round-robin is completed, the four teams with the best records will remain in the tournament for a playoff. The fifth place finisher will be eliminated. #1 will play #4 while #2 plays #3 and the winners of those two games will meet in the championship game.

The tournament rules have been updated to reflect the changes.
